Opera Garnier, Palais Garnier, and Paris Opera House, among its many names is an absolute must-see when in Paris! From its grand staircase to the grand foyer, which to me, looks like a mix of Sistine Chapel and the Hall of Mirrors in Versailles, is absolutely breathtaking. Although I have been to Paris 6+ times at this point, I have somehow never been inside Opera Garnier until this time around.

Aveyron, located in the southwest of the Occitanie France is one of the most beautiful regions with amazing landscapes and mouthwatering food! It also consists of some of the most beautiful villages in France.

Yuen Long to Butterfly Beach, Tuen Mun Bike Ride. Why I don't recommend. I figured this would be just as lovely and relaxing as the bike ride we took a from Shatin to Taipo to Tai Mei Tuk (highly recommend!). I do have to note though, Happy Bicycle, the bike rental shop where we rented from, was great!
Oakes Day Lillies Farm was such a breathtaking property. The blooming day lilies in their variation of gold, orange, maroon like rays of the setting sun splashed across the young crips greenery of the rolling hills. The farm also featured a small pond; next to it a large willow tree that draped its veins, blowing so gently across the summer breeze. Far back behind the sun flower fields sits a freshly painted white farm house that overlooks the entire property. Complimented by the cotton candy like clouds plopped against the crisp blue skies truly portrays the farm to such of an Impressionist painting.
Foshan, home to multiple kungfu masters, is just about 35km away from it’s mega neighbor, Guangzhou. The highspeed train from foshan to hong kong or vice versa is only about an hour. In fact, it's easier to get off at the Guangzhou South station.
Xiamen, a beautiful coastal town on China's southern coast was one of the first major cities I visited as a little girl. Metropolitan but Traditional at the Same Time. Having walked through quite a few different neighborhoods in both the island side and Kowloon side, the city landscapes has a unique sense of modernity intertwined with tradition. In between the tall skyscrapers with commercial office and western branded retail are small mom and pop type shops for selling fresh vegetables or local herbal drinks.
After our 3 hour Vatican Tour that started at 8:30AM (terrific and one of the coolest places I’ve been hands down), we were utterly starving. Walking around the streets of Vatican City, we were looking for a place to eat. Little did we know, there are no restaurants in this 109 acres of sacred ground. Just as we were making our way further and further away from St. Peter’s Square, we spotted a petit olive skinned woman with wavy black hair pulled back into a loose bun handing out fliers.
